Childcare Programs Overview
Why is Light of the World Childcare’s Brampton Child Care Centre the best choice? The growth and development that occurs in the first few years of your child’s life are significant. From ages 0 to 5 years, your child is setting the foundation for their sense of security and safety. Childcare will offer plenty of opportunities to support this growth.
For a parent, choosing the right childcare centre can be stressful. As a result, parents need to take their time to do the appropriate research and make sure that the center in question is truly a good fit for their child.
Light of the World Childcare has always focused on meeting the social, emotional, and academic needs of our young learners so they can grow into the changemakers of tomorrow—and today is no different.
During these challenging times when routines seem to change daily, one thing remains the same, we provide a safe, enriching place for children to learn and grow, whether through distance learning support or through essential child care for parents returning to work.
Our Childcare centre is dedicated to excellence in childcare and strives to foster and develop each child’s intellectual, social, spiritual, creative and personal well-being. Light of the World integrates a STEM (science, technology, engineering, and mathematics) curriculum and a nurturing environment that paves the way for both an academically bright future and an uplifting mindset. With STEM-based learning, children benefit from developing the skills to become critical thinkers and problem solvers. As part of our holistic care, the center provides meals and snacks that promote healthy nutrition and eating habits. Light of the World Childcare Centre offers various programs for various age groups:
The infant program provides a warm, inviting and safe environment that encourages each infant to explore and grow. The program inspires curiosity and enhances learning through hands-on exploration, communication, and social interaction.
The toddler and preschool programs provide a welcoming and enjoyable environment that is rich with learning, ensuring that your child will have a solid foundation for continuing education. The programs include the development of strong language, reading, writing, science, and math skills as well as collaborative problem-solving.
Learning doesn’t stop when school is over, and it can still be fun. Our kindergarten program aims to provide your child with a welcoming and enjoyable experience.

The Four Foundations of How Learning Happens
Ontario’s Pedagogy for the Early Years
How Does Learning Happen? Learning is organized around four foundational conditions that are important for children to grow and flourish: Belonging, Well-Being, Engagement, and Expression. These foundations, or ways of being, are a vision for all children’s future potential and a view of what they should experience each and every day.
These four foundations apply regardless of age, ability, culture, language, geography, or setting. They are aligned with the Kindergarten program and are conditions that children naturally seek for themselves. A focus on these foundations throughout all aspects of early years programs ensures optimal learning and healthy development.
Belonging refers to a sense of connection with others, and an individual’s experiences of being valued, of forming relationships and making contributions as part of a group, a community, and the natural world.
Well-being addresses the importance of physical and mental health and wellness. It incorporates capacities such as self-care, sense of self, and self-regulation skills.
Engagement suggests a state of being involved and focused. When children are able to explore the world around them with their natural curiosity and exuberance, they are fully engaged. Through this type of play and inquiry, they develop skills such as problem solving, creative thinking, and innovation, which are essential for learning and success both in school and beyond.
Expression or communication (to be heard, as well as to listen) may take various forms. Through their bodies, words, and use of materials, children develop capacities for increasingly complex communication. Opportunities to explore materials support creativity, problem solving, and mathematical behaviours. Language-rich environments support growing communication skills, which are foundational for literacy.
