The 8000 Series Door Closers provide an excellent blend of aesthetics, dependability, and longevity. They feature staked valves, meticulous valve tuning, and a wide array of arm and cover choices, making them suitable for diverse applications. These closers surpass 10 million cycles, boast a rack and pinion design with a cast aluminum body, and are ambidextrous. The 8301 model comes with a standard slim-line plastic cover, while the 8501 model features a full plastic cover.

  • Door closers for all types of doors must be full rack-and-pinion with a cast aluminum shell
  • Surface-mounted closers should not extend more than 2-1/8" from the door's surface with the standard cover
  • Closers should be ambidextrous for installation on either left- or right-hand doors
  • Closer fluid must maintain viscosity stability for performance in extreme temperatures
  • Closers should have adjustable spring power for sizes 1 through 6
  • Two hex key-adjusted valves should independently control sweep and latch speeds
  • Backcheck intensity should be adjustable via a hex key-adjusted valve
  • Delayed action closing should be adjustable using a hex key
  • Regular arm and top jamb closers should have a non-hold open shoe allowing for 15% power adjustment
